This might be an odd blog but in the last weeks nearly everyone who?s sat in our kitchen asked ?have you seen David Attenborough?s Africa, he filmed that picture?. Normally I would have but being away and all I waited until there was snow on the ground before catching up. I can?t guarantee it?s the same spot but it does look like it. Sorry but it had me looking through the hard drive.
We were in Namibia for the speed event and somehow I ended up being the official photographer as well as competing. A month on and we had two days left before our flight so we headed off to find a bit of wildlife and too our surprise it was more a journey of self discovery.
The pictures might give the impression that we couldn?t see the trees for wildlife, if only that was true. We spent hours driving around with our eyes straining at a baron horizon, I can?t tell you how many times we found ourselves chasing Giraffes on the horizon only to find they were trees. I think the only thing I?ve got in common with David Attenborough is our Christian name.?
